About Our Opportunity We’re looking for a Bids and Tender Manager to join our Commercial team based in Warrington. This is a key role responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process across the UK, helping the business secure new contracts and strengthen our position across both public and private sectors. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you’ll play a central role in identifying opportunities, coordinating high-quality submissions and ensuring all bids are commercially robust, compliant and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Working closely with colleagues across commercial, finance, marketing and operational teams, you’ll help deliver compelling proposals that support sustainable business growth. What You Will Be Doing In this role, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of bids and tenders, maintaining a live pipeline of opportunities and monitoring relevant procurement portals and contract notices across the UK. You’ll coordinate bid development from initial opportunity through to submission, ensuring proposals are professional, compliant and delivered on time. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll gather the necessary technical, operational and commercial inputs required to develop strong proposals. You’ll collaborate with marketing teams to produce high-quality tender responses and client presentations, while partnering with commercial finance to ensure bids are financially robust and approved prior to submission. You’ll also build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the tendering process, supporting presentations, negotiations and discussions that help convert opportunities into successful contracts. Alongside this, you’ll monitor market activity, customer trends and external movements to ensure our bidding approach remains competitive and aligned with market developments. Continuous improvement will be a key part of the role, with responsibility for conducting post-bid reviews, gathering feedback from clients and stakeholders, and using those insights to strengthen future submissions. You’ll also ensure all submissions align with relevant quality, environmental and safety standards. About You You’re an organised and commercially aware professional with experience managing bids or tenders in a complex, deadline-driven environment. You’re comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You have strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships both internally and externally. You’re confident working with colleagues across commercial, finance and operational teams to develop compelling proposals and deliver successful submissions. You bring strong time-management skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and improving processes. Experience within construction, recycling, waste management or environmental services sector would be advantageous, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
