An inclusive and supportive Alternative Provision in Preston is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a long-term role with the potential to move to a permanent contract, offering the right candidate a chance to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting.
About the Role:
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Working closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised interventions
* Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and a positive approach to learning
* Providing 1:1 and small group support, both in and outside of the classroom
* Promoting an inclusive, nurturing, and respectful learning environment
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working in a school, PRU, or youth setting (preferred but not essential)
* Calm, patient, and consistent in behaviour management strategies
* Ability to build rapport quickly and support students with diverse needs
* A genuine desire to support vulnerable learners
* Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
Ideal Qualifications:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
* DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
