Job Summary
Phlebotomist – Randox Laboratories, Newry, County Down, United Kingdom. Full‑time, permanent position with alternating Monday‑Friday and Tuesday‑Saturday shift patterns. Working hours are 6.40am to 3.20pm, 7.40am to 4.20pm or 10.20am to 7pm – subject to change.
Responsibilities
* Ensure customers receive an excellent experience from entry into the clinic, including taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients.
* Conduct comprehensive client appointments: blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and entry of data into the Patient Information System (PIS).
* Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
* Represent the company professionally at off‑site events and appointments.
* Engage in upselling and cross‑selling at the private health clinic, proactively driving sales and exceeding targets.
* Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
* Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage various software systems and perform daily tasks.
Qualifications
* Previous phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
* Confidence using IT programmes.
* Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends and off‑site locations at least once per month.
* Strong communication skills.
* Current right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
* Valid UK or Irish driving licence.
Desirable
* Experience in a private healthcare setting.
* Experience in customer service.
* Two years’ experience in phlebotomy.
* Sales or retail experience.
Requirements
* Vaccinated against Hepatitis B or able to obtain vaccination after successful interview.
* Enhanced Access NI check required in line with Care Quality Commission guidelines.
* No visa sponsorship at the point of hire.
