This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students who require additional support. Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Support students with a range of special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom. Assist in the development and implementation of tailored education plans. Provide one-on-one and small group support to help students engage with their learning. Monitor progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff and SENCO. Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student development. Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
