Are you passionate about ensuring product excellence and driving supplier performance? We’re looking for a Supplier & Product Quality Engineer to join a dynamic team and play a key role in shaping quality standards across a global supply chain. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive quality professional to support the ongoing development and implementation of a structured supplier assessment process. You will play a crucial role in conducting on-site supplier audits, managing product inspections and testing, and maintaining compliance with international standards.
Role and responsibilities:
* Conduct pre-delivery inspections and performance testing at supplier sites
* Develop and maintain product and supplier compliance documentation
* Perform risk-based goods-in inspections and manage internal quality control processes
* Lead investigations into product failures and oversee corrective/preventive actions
* Collaborate on value engineering activities and drive cost-efficient product improvements
* Perform on-site supplier audits covering quality, H&S, CSR, and sustainability standards
Experience and expertise:
* Degree, HNC or equivalent in a technical or engineering discipline
* 18-24 months minimum experience in a similar quality assurance or supplier audit role
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials standards
* Familiarity with CE/UKCA certifications and product testing protocols
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
* Comfortable with extensive travel, both within the UK and internationally
* Full UK driving licence
