Robert Half Ltd are working with a growing manufacturing business based in Cardiff to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a key member of the finance team, supporting both day-to-day accounting and project work. The role is varied and hands-on, offering exposure to management accounts, stock control, and financial analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with month-end close and management accounts
Accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
Stock reconciliations, valuations, and supporting stock takes
Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation
Supporting sales reporting and analysis
Ad hoc project work focused on process improvement and cost efficiencies
Providing wider support across the finance team
Your Profile
Have AAT qualifications (or be working towards), or be a graduate with some accounting experience
Be proactive, eager to learn, and looking to grow into a more senior role over time
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Be comfortable working in a dynamic, growing business
Experience is valued more than formal qualifications - the right personality and ambition are key.
