This is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of software projects during an exciting time of growth and optimisation. Purpose of the role: To manage the delivery of software projects to clients from functional specification sign-off, through to backlog creation and development to implementation and go-live. To take responsibility of these projects and to ensure delivery on time, on cost and in scope. Other areas of responsibilities include: You will develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines. Regularly monitoring and tracking progress against this plan. You will be accountable for project budget and spend throughout the duration of the project. You will manage issues identified that affect the project and manage them through the completion. You will manage the sprint process in alignment with the development team and resolve questions or concerns on functionality. You will build strong relationships with clients, ensuring Company and Project objectives are achieved and client expectations are met (or exceeded). You will be responsible for managing weekly customer project meetings and keep all stakeholders updated on the progress of the project. You will liaise and engage both internal and our third-party providers to resolve issues encountered on site. You will control and track the resource requirements for the project and feed into the Head of Projects on any challenges with the resource assigned to projects. You will oversee and manage the requests for change throughout the duration of the project and ensuring that this scope is managed. You will be involved with/ in some cases be responsible for driving training documentation to support role out of the project. You will support the Head of Projects in guiding and supporting the development of more junior members of the team. You may oversee and line manage more junior members of the team, supporting their development in line with business needs. Desirables: Experience of automated system implementations in a high-pressure environment, and desirable if AMR systems. Experience of working in an AGILE environment Experience of WCS/WMS technologies and their implementations. Experience of project management methodologies (Prince 2/APM qualifications) Experience of people management and leading a smaller team of project managers Experience of management of multiple software projects within a software environment. Ability to work on your own initiative and drive through resolutions to issues. Strong familiarisation with DevOps process & setup Ability to motivate, inspire and collaborate effectively. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving skill Role Requirements: Ability to travel to UK/EU and international locations to support customer projects. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams programs. Experience of working with costing/budget tracking methodologies Willingness to contribute to continual improvements within the project team and driving forward changes. Good problem-solving skills and ability to influence decisions, internally and externally.
