Overview
The Customer Fulfilment TPM Team are an ambitious group of individuals at the heart of enabling Technical Transformation in our Customer Ful fulfilment domain. The team is responsible for a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes that impact colleagues and customers across the UK, Republic of Ireland & Central Europe, including in-store picking, automation picking in stores, and colleague-only sites.
We have a well-established TPM Team whose mission is to deliver transformation and value-led technical change for colleagues and customers. Technical Programme Management is a critical element in enabling continued transformation and flexibility to realise benefits.
Role purpose
To successfully drive, manage and deliver projects/programmes from ideation through to launch, ensuring programme/project benefits are realised and the change is sustained.
This role focuses on opportunities within our Customer Fulfilment domain. As a lead of a subset of this domain, you will work on a broad range of projects/programmes requiring engagement with senior leaders, stakeholders, and peers from UX/UI, Product & Engineering, as well as other Technical Program Managers.
Responsibilities
Reporting to a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving, leading and delivering the projects and programmes within your remit.
Programme strategy: Defining, establishing and delivering work within an agreed programme strategy, learning from existing practices, and bringing fresh ideas to the team and Tesco. This includes assessing the viability and value of a programme or project and the readiness of the teams and stakeholders to take on the programme.
Stakeholder management: Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Identify, manage and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Demonstrate empathy, active listening and clear verbal and written communication. Influence without authority and manage meetings and facilitation.
Program communications: Create a persuasive storyline/case for change to support your programme, producing communication and engagement materials and owning communications to stakeholders. Ensure materials are designed and produced in a timely manner and align with wider messages and brand.
Program training: Identify education and training requirements and work with the Training Team to develop suitable solutions and training offers.
People-focused: Be the ‘go to’ expert for delivering and managing programmes. Represent end users and support teams, understand the experiences of customers and teams supporting processes, and assist in providing transition support to a sustainable business-as-usual environment.
Essential Characteristics/Skills/Qualifications
* Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
* Experience of defining and delivering programmes/projects within a large organisation
* Experience of shaping programmes with ambiguous scope and uncertain delivery approaches
* Personal, relatable character, able to build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
* Good MS Office skills
