The pharmacy department is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated pharmacy assistant to join our Stores Team.
The individual will help us deliver a high-quality and efficient patient-focused service.
The ideal candidates will have good stamina, be physically fit with good attention to detail, possess good communication skills, and be flexible, committed, and a good team player.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the service, working five 8-hour shifts between Monday and Friday, with a half-day on one Saturday in four.
You will be a key member of staff helping us develop the pharmacy service in line with the NHS plan for pharmacy.
As part of the Pharmacy Stores Team, you will receive deliveries from wholesalers and couriers, check the deliveries for accuracy, receipting on the HIVE computer system, and flag discrepancies promptly. Using good manual handling practices, you will work in bulk fluids, help move goods to the main inpatient pharmacy, and unpack deliveries into correct storage locations. You will also assist in managing and maintaining the automated dispensing systems (robots) within the inpatient pharmacy.
There is a positive attitude towards staff development within the department, and you will be encouraged to participate in our in-house training programs to develop your skills and improve patient care.
