Marketing Analyst - Mars, TUI
Overview of role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with clients such as Mars and TUI at EssenceMediaCom. The successful applicant will be part of the analytics team, responsible for ensuring that all available data, insights, and tools are used to optimise marketing activity.
You will support our clients in collating and analysing various data sources to provide valuable insights that shape marketing and product strategies, as well as decisions around customer retention and acquisition.
You will be responsible for delivering and evolving measurement frameworks and ensuring measurement is integrated into campaign planning. You will report on campaign performance and provide insights against objectives.
You will build relationships with stakeholders to deliver presentations addressing key business challenges.
Please note this is a UK-based role and requires individuals to have the right to work in this location.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Marketing Analytics Director.

Measures of success
In three months, you would have:

* Become a super-user of proprietary budget-setting tools.
* Applied new analytical methods for budget setting.

Responsibilities of the role
* Ensure data and insights are central to marketing planning.
* Collate and analyse data to provide valuable insights.
* Use analytical techniques to answer business questions related to media, budgets, and portfolio management.
* Develop measurement frameworks and conduct audits to identify gaps and opportunities.
* Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand marketing strategies and business concerns.
What you will need
* Experience in the media industry.
* Interest in marketing and analytics.
* Knowledge across all marketing channels.
* Ability to translate analysis into actionable solutions.
* Keen interest in innovative analytical techniques.
* Strong client-facing skills and ability to explain complex analysis clearly.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel, econometrics packages, and PowerPoint.
* Ambitious, creative, and self-motivated.
Desirables
* Degree in Economics, Maths, or Stats (2:1 or above).
* Knowledge of R, VBA, SPSS, Access, and Eviews.
* Interest in latest measurement and analytical techniques (e.g., conjoint, forecasting).
* Experience across sectors, especially FMCG.
* Knowledge of marketing effectiveness theory.
