Senior Quantity Surveyor
Annual Salary: £65,000 to £85,000
Location: Dorset, with site visits
Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Surveyor with a strong background in quantity surveying and preferably, Civils or groundworks. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is confident and capable of meeting challenging deadlines daily. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including financial reporting, site visits, and client correspondence.
Day-to-day of the role:
Work within the Commercial team, reporting to the board as necessary.
Conduct monthly reporting and financial analysis of site activities.
Perform periodic site visits, typically once per week.
Discuss site activities with construction teams and submit variations to the client.
Handle client correspondence, focusing on commercial and contractual matters.
Measure and quantify from both drawings and site visits.
Produce Bills of Quantities and cost breakdowns.
Compile and submit monthly applications.
Participate in the estimating process as needed.
Communicate commercial information to other departments.
Attend client meetings, sometimes alongside Senior Management.
Form and submit subcontractor enquiries.
Check and approve subcontractor invoices.
Perform general administrative duties as required.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ideally experienced in Groundworks, Civils or Residential groundworks
Strong commercial acumen.
Proficiency in numeracy and literacy.
Efficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while being self-motivated.Benefits:
