An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Acute Care Therapy Team (ACTT). The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of predominantly elderly and frail patients across various clinical settings including the Emergency Department and assessment areas.
We are seeking applicants with knowledge and experience of current developments and drivers within the wider healthcare setting, around frailty, admissions avoidance and emergency care. Hours will be worked to support 7‑day service delivery between the hours of 08:00 – 20:00, including weekends and bank holidays; therefore, flexibility around working patterns will be required. Flexible full and part‑time hours will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Assessment and treatment of elderly and frail patients across the acute care pathway.
* Work closely with a team of qualified Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues along with support staff.
* Receive training to achieve dual therapy competencies.
* Support delivery of high standards of care across the acute care pathway.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Senior Physiotherapist role; must have knowledge and experience in frailty, admissions avoidance, and emergency care.
* Require a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
* Successful external candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS Disclosure; the cost will be deducted from the first salary payment.
Benefits and Working Conditions
Hours will be worked from 08:00 – 20:00, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Flexible full and part‑time hours are considered.
