Overview
Retail Project Coordinator role at JD Sports Fashion. JD Sports Fashion Plc is a FTSE100 company listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1996, with a global omnichannel presence in sports fashion, outdoors and gyms. The role is part of the Retail Projects Team, which designs and influences all aspects of new store openings from conception through to completion, supporting store expansion globally.
The role may involve travel and work as part of a global team within a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Be a key member in a fast-paced team delivering all new JD stores globally.
* Influence store layout from sales floor area and furniture placement to planning an operationally efficient off-sales space.
* Work cross-functionally with Retail Designers, Space Planning and Property Projects teams to develop store layouts.
* Coordinate with the Central VM Team to meet visual aspects within a new store.
* Travel to UK and European stores to attend site meetings and New Store handovers.
* Post-hand over, coordinate snagging lists and outstanding works with Property PM to ensure tasks are finished in time for Store Opening.
* Involve in design processes for new concepts and equipment to improve the JD image and align with the business model.
* Create store fixture documents and coordinate furniture and equipment orders with suppliers and the JD Procurement Team.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed
* Strong knowledge of the JD brands is advantageous.
* JD Visual Merchandising experience is preferable.
* Creative and innovative mindset with ability to multitask.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Strong organizational skills and self-discipline; able to work on own initiative; team player.
* Geographically mobile through the UK and Europe; full driving licence essential.
* Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
