Hours: Rotating Weekly 6-2 / 2-10
A leading manufacturing company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced shift supervisor to join their dynamic team. As the Shift Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing production operations and personnel to ensure products are manufactured in line with targets, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
"Efficiently manage shopfloor personnel and production processes to meet customer delivery requirements and achieve production targets
"Collaborate with the Planning Manager to assess daily workload and take timely actions to address any issues that may arise
"Facilitate data collection for key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments to track and evaluate performance effectively
"Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and execute action plans for continuous improvement, ensuring optimal performance against KPI targets
"Provide guidance and support to departmental Team Leaders, ensuring their accountabilities are met and performance is enhanced
"Champion cost-saving efforts by optimising labour utilization, minimizing overtime, and reducing waste
"Effectively manage day-to-day staff-related matters, including lateness, absence, holiday approvals, training, and performance management
"Collaborate with the H&S/QA Manager to ensure departmental maintenance plans are executed and standards are maintained
"Proactively solve problems in conjunction with the H&S/QA Manager to prevent re-occurrence and enhance operational efficiency
"Foster a culture of effective two-way communication throughout the organization, promoting openness and collaboration
"Uphold and implement health and safety standards on a day-to-day basis in alignment with the Company's Health and Safety policy, working closely with the H&S/QA Manager
"Attend health and safety and quality meetings, actively participating in corrective measures when required
"Deliver comprehensive reports on all areas of responsibility during team briefings and ensure timely completion of monthly checklists
Qualifications and Skills:
"Proven experience in a similar manufacturing or production management role
"Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
"Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate teams
"Familiarity with KPIs and implementing continuous improvement plans
"Demonstrated understanding of health and safety regulations and practices
"Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively
"Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving targets and driving success
