The Opportunity:
We're hiring an Analyst (Grade 2) to join our dynamic Exploration & Production (E&P) team in Aberdeen. This is a hands-on laboratory role, ideal for someone with experience in analytical testing and a passion for mentoring others. You'll conduct sample testing, perform equipment calibrations, and contribute to the day-to-day operations of our lab—all while leading by example and supporting your junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Testing a variety of crude, petroleum products, gas, water and deposit samples to international standards and in-house test methods.
* Receive and log in samples for testing on the required systems.
* Generate analytical reports for review and approval for release to customers.
* Perform calibrations and verification of instrumentation.
* Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping of the laboratory.
* Support in the development of new testing requirements.
* Work within the Quality Management System.
* Work within Health, Safety & Environmental Standards.
Who We're Looking For:
* A science-based qualification (HND or above) or equivalent laboratory experience is desirable but not essential.
* Experience in a UKAS-accredited lab preferred.
* Strong IT literacy and confident in using data systems.
* Hands-on, adaptable, and team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
