About the Role As a Revenues and Benefits Officer, you’ll be responsible for processing and administering a wide range of services including Council Tax, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, and other local taxation and debt recovery functions. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive timely and accurate support, while meeting performance targets and maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities Deliver professional and timely customer service across all contact channels. Assess and process Council Tax liability, reductions, reliefs, and support. Administer Housing Benefit and Discretionary Hardship Payments. Manage billing, collection, and enforcement of various debts. Maintain and update Council Tax, NNDR, Housing Benefit, and Sundry Debt accounts. Conduct interviews, inspections, home visits, and attend court or events as required.
