MCS Group are proud to be partnered with an advanced manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design, development and implementation of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities & Duties
* Lead the mechanical design and development of bespoke equipment, machinery and robotic systems.
* Develop concepts, detailed design and engineering drawings
* Prepare and present technical design reviews
* Oversee prototype development, assembly, testing and commissioning of equipment.
* Liaise with clients to gather requirements and provide technical support.
* Support project management in scheduling, cost estimation and progress tracking.
* Ensure designs comply with safety standards.
* Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
* Manage time lines, budgets, and resources
* Collaborate with the electrical team to ensure system integration
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Experience in mechanical design role
* Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks)
* Familiar with equipment such as conveyors, robotics, pick-and-place systems and machine vision.
* Experience with pneumatic systems.
