This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their accounting career who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and collaborative finance team. The Role You will support the finance function in delivering accurate and timely financial information, with particular involvement in the month-end process and balance sheet control. Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments Prepare and support balance sheet reconciliations Assist with VAT returns and related reconciliations Support intercompany reconciliations Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger activities Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes Provide ad hoc support and analysis to the wider finance team About You Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role Practical month-end experience is essential Exposure to balance sheet reconciliations and/or VAT is desirable Studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or keen to begin studying Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail Positive attitude and a genuine desire to learn and progress What's on Offer £33,000 - £38,000 depending on experience Discretionary Bonus Full study support Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) Strong career development opportunities Friendly and supportive working environment Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
