Assistant Accountant
Location: South West London (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days home)
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 DOE + Study Support

Robert Half are partnering with a well-established, PE Backed, International events business in South West London, to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their accounting career who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
The Role
You will support the finance function in delivering accurate and timely financial information, with particular involvement in the month-end process and balance sheet control.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments
2. Prepare and support balance sheet reconciliations
3. Assist with VAT returns and related reconciliations
4. Support intercompany reconciliations
5. Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger activities
6. Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes
7. Provide ad hoc support and analysis to the wider finance team
About You
8. Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
9. Practical month-end experience is essential
10. Exposure to balance sheet reconciliations and/or VAT is desirable
11. Studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or keen to begin studying
12. Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
13. Positive attitude and a genuine desire to learn and progress
