The Education Department is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic School Support Officer to work with Governing Bodies across schools in Carmarthenshire.

The role involves working as part of the School Governance and Support Team providing specialist advice to schools on school governance. The successful candidate will work closely with Chairs of Governors, Headteachers and governing bodies to prepare meeting agendas and to take accurate minutes of meetings, ensuring actions are followed up.

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is required for this post. Support can be provided to achieve the level required.

There will be a requirement to work outside normal hours, time off in lieu will be given for this.
