Residential Support Worker (RSW-H) Tring, England
Salary: GBP13.5 - GBP13.5 per hour
Role: To support the learning, emotional, and social needs of children/young people within the residential home. The Residential Support Worker will participate in recording, monitoring, and evaluating individual child strategies/support.
Duties: This job description outlines the general duties expected of the post-holder. However, duties may vary or be amended without changing the level of responsibility.
Hours of Work: Residential Care Workers work hours necessary to fulfill their tasks, determined by management in consultation with the Senior Management Team. Unsociable hours, including weekends, evenings, and Bank Holidays, are part of the role.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the educational, social, emotional, and behavioral development of children/young people under management guidance.
2. Help develop the house environment ensuring high standards of care within the model of care.
3. Implement and monitor Personal Education Programmes for children/young people.
4. Implement and monitor Individual Care Plans for children/young people.
5. Provide primary care and support healthy attachments for each child/young person.
6. Be responsible for the care of children/young people on rota, under supervision.
7. Participate in sleeping-in duties as required.
8. Maintain good relationships with professionals, team members, parents, and agencies.
9. Support and evaluate children/young people's emotional and behavioral difficulties and social skills development.
10. Ensure health and safety compliance in the home.
11. Participate in mandatory and other training sessions.
12. Engage in ongoing supervision to understand children/young people's behavior.
13. Develop specific work projects with children/young people as directed.
14. Maintain high standards of communication and documentation.
15. Contribute to children's development through activities and social opportunities.

3. Attend staff meetings and undertake assigned duties.
4. Perform other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce or willingness to work towards it within six months of probation.
Requirements:
Attributes & Criteria: Experience with children in care or school settings, good educational achievement, ability to produce clear reports, complete mandatory training, and willingness to undertake further qualifications.
Knowledge of Race Equality, Health & Safety, Child Protection, and commitment to high standards of care and education.
Skills and Abilities: Enthusiasm, organizational skills, teamwork, creativity, ability to set boundaries, hold a full driving license, and IT proficiency.
