Duties to include the safe supervision and welfare of pupils on the school site during the lunch break. Duties may entail working with pupils from Nursery to Year 6, including children with special educational needs. Lunchtime supervisory assistants are part of the teaching team which requires cooperation of all staff to ensure the efficient running of the school. Close cooperation in all aspects of childcare and education is essential. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Ensure that pupils are supported to eat a well balance and nutritional meal, sometimes with adult assistance. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils. Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in play. Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate.
