You have a strong background in managing and maintaining trees and open spaces, with an emphasis on creating a healthy and sustainable environment. What the Job Involves In this role, you will work closely with contractors, partners, and users to maintain the parks and open spaces throughout the Borough. Your responsibilities will include managing a healthy tree stock across various types of parks and open spaces, ensuring all areas are appealing and safe for public use. Driving and towing experience is required, as you will be expected to transport equipment and materials to various locations. Skills Driving and towing experience CS30.1 - Chainsaw Maintenance CS30.2 - Cross-cut and stack timber CS31 – Fell and Process small trees CS38 - Climb Trees and Perform Aerial Rescue Relevant legislation and procedures for tree management Full Driving Licence with C1 / C1E / BE entitlement Experience as a tree surgery specialist CS39 – Use a chainsaw from rope and harness First aid (desirable) Lantra/City & Guilds – Stump Grinding operations (desirable) Lantra/City & Guilds – Wood Chipper operations (desirable) MEWP & Chainsaw use in MEWP (desirable) City & Guilds - Street works Signing Lighting and Guarding (desirable) PA1 & PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides (desirable)
