Overview

We offer opportunities within our growing Events Department—in both Commercial Events (venue hire) and College Events (internal) teams—to deliver exceptional event experiences that reflect the spirit and values of Wellington.


Responsibilities

College Events Administrator (full time or flexible working opportunities) is a vital support role within the College Events Team, responsible for administrating venue and function bookings, administering ticketing/event systems, and providing hands-on assistance at internal events for pupils, parents and staff. Responsibilities include:

* Administer venue and function bookings
* Administer ticketing and event systems
* Provide on-site assistance at internal events
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth event delivery


What We’re Looking For

* Experience in events, hospitality, education, or a busy administrative environment
* Confident using Microsoft Office; familiarity with systems such as Kinetics (Kx) or other hotel/venue booking software, website management, CRM, or ticketing platforms
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to work flexibly—including specific pre-set evenings and weekends during event periods
* Clear, professional communication with a wide range of stakeholders
* Demonstrate the College’s core values of Kindness, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, and Courage

Desirable but not essential qualifications include a degree, apprenticeship or vocational qualification in events, hospitality, or marketing, and experience working in an educational or heritage setting.
