Overview
Clinical Pharmacist (Band 6 to 7 Progression) role at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. This rotational pharmacist position offers development toward a clinically oriented career with in-house training, credentialing/portfolio support and opportunities to complete a clinical diploma. Support will be provided by the Education and Development Pharmacist and an experienced team of Lead Pharmacists.
Responsibilities
* Provide a clinical pharmacy service to a variety of specialties
* Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation
* Support medicines safety and quality improvement
* Provide medicines related advice to colleagues and patients
* Support the safe and timely discharge of patients
* Support clinical screening and accuracy checking within the dispensary
Rotations
Rotations cover clinical services (acute medicine, general medicine, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, women and children), cancer services (aseptic services, oncology/haematology ward), medicines information, medicines management, parenteral nutrition and clinical trials.
What we offer
Development includes in-house training programmes, credentialing/portfolio support and clinical diploma completion. Support will be provided by our Education and Development Pharmacist and Lead Pharmacists. The department is part of a broader programme including a new state-of-the-art hospital and significant digital transformation with an electronic patient record planned from 2026 to enhance safety and joined-up care.

Requirements
* Motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist
* Willingness to learn and work effectively across clinical teams
* Rotational role with registration with the GPhC (soon) as a requirement
