Responsibilities
* Requirements capture and definition from stakeholder needs through to sub-systems; ownership of traceability and verification.
* Verification Validation and Test (VV&T) support
* Ground System level architectural design definition and trade-offs
* Working with Engineering Leads and Partners to define the segment and associated sub-system architectures via integrated Working Groups
* Technical proposal inputs
* Solution Lead for customer and internal governance reviews
* Technical support to bidding teams
* Systems Engineering and project management inputs as required - to support planning, schedule and cost activities
* Inform stakeholders on progress and problem resolution
Experience
* University degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline
* Experience in the design, integration and roll out of end-to-end digital telecommunications systems (milsatcom desirable) covering space, control and ground segments using Waterfall or Agile methodologies
* Experience of defining solutions within an Architectural Framework using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and appropriate tools (EA desirable)
* Experience of engagement with customers and partners
* Working understanding of portfolios in terms of satellite platforms and payloads, satellite control, mission control, network control
* Robust presentation and writing skills
