We are looking for a talented and hard-working individual to join us as our examinations officer.
The Bishop of Llandaff is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school serving the Christian and non-Christian communities within the city and surrounding areas including The Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taff, and Bridgend. About the role
The role of Examinations Officer is integral to the efficient delivery of the school as an Examination Centre. Working alongside the Office, Data and Examinations Manager and an Assistant Head, who is responsible for public examinations, the appointed person would be responsible for the operational management of examinations. This involves working closely with a range of subject leaders to coordinate entries, process data relating to public examination and oversee the accurate delivery of internal and external examination series.
In addition to the Examinations Officer, the school has a team of dedicated invigilators, who are employed on a casual basis. The Examinations Officer coordinates the work of the team, provides annual training and support to ensure that the school’s processes are smooth, while meeting statutory requirements as set out by the Joint Council for Qualifications (and Qualifications Wales). The appointed person will be highly organised, able to multi-task, and have an ‘eye for detail’. The role would suit someone in a similar role, or an individual who is willing to learn and interested in working in a busy yet rewarding post. Support and training will be provided for the appointed person.
