About us!
Welcome to The Beech House School! An independent SEN school that specialises in looked after children. Our school is currently a small Ofsted rated ‘GOOD’ school catering for up to 6 students who reside in our residential children’s homes. In 2026, we are looking to expand our offering and develop our school at a new site based in Farnham, which can cater for up to 50 children who are looked after or require a SEN specialist provision.
The school will remain closely linked to our children’s homes in Surrey, with children who reside here attending the school, plus day students from the borough. Eventually there will also be 2 residential care homes on the same site as the school. One of these provisions is due to open late 2025 and the other at another stage.
We will look to offer a broad curriculum but also specialist therapeutic interventions, forest school and vocational qualifications to support the needs of the students.
ome and school teams effectively.
We are looking for an experienced full time therapist to be based in the school who holds a relevant accreditation (or close to obtaining accreditation) to provide therapy for our pupils and support for the staff. The role will work closely with our pastoral and SENCO team, reporting into the Head of School and also working with the managers across the organisation.
The children living in our homes and likely to attend the school are under care orders and will have had significant trauma in their lives. This person will need to have a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach to care. Ideally integrative with the ability to work with the arts.
The role will involve facilitating individual weekly therapy sessions with our young people, looking to establish group therapy where appropriate and supporting the staff either through training, or psychoeducation. You will also be expected to attend professionals’ meetings, write reports and evaluate the effectiveness of the therapeutic input- looking at improved outcomes for children.
The role is very diverse with opportunity to grow within the role, as the organisation expands.
This will be a role over 41 working weeks- in line with the school term plus 2 weeks working across the holidays for training and meetings, to be mutually agreed when in role.

•The chance to build and develop your own skills and CPD;
•Support from a strong companywide management team;
