Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Physics ECT to join a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Peterborough from September on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their career in a school that offers strong mentoring, clear structures, and a supportive Science department.
The school has experience supporting ECTs and provides a structured induction programme to help new teachers build confidence and develop strong classroom practice.
The Role
* Teaching Physics across KS3 and KS4
* Planning and delivering clear, well-structured lessons
* Supporting practical science lessons with a strong focus on safety and understanding
* Developing confident classroom routines and positive behaviour management
* Assessing pupil progress and using feedback to inform teaching
* Working closely with experienced colleagues within the Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be on track to qualify as an ECT
* A degree in Physics or a closely related subject
* The ability to teach Physics confidently across KS3 and KS4
* A positive, reflective approach to teaching and learning
* Willingness to take feedback on board and develop professionally
* Good organisation skills and a calm, professional teaching style
