As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the CTO – Active Directory Development team, you will play a key role as a seasoned member of an agile team, focusing on designing and delivering cutting-edge technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your responsibilities include implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals.
Job responsibilities
* Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
* Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
* Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
* Gathers, analyses, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
* Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
* Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
* Adds to team culture of collaboration, opportunity, respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience
* Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
* Experience with Python and, ideally, frameworks such as Django/FAST API/Flask and experience in building, deploying and supporting RESTful web API integrations
* Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
* An understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
* Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
* A mindset of ongoing learning, demonstrating self-driven knowledge acquisition of new technologies and solutions
Additional qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Familiarity with IAM concepts and authentication methods
* Background in technology infrastructure management, Automation (Ansible, Puppet, Saltstack), and scripting (Bash, Powershell, etc.)
* General working knowledge of infrastructure technologies, interconnecting them to deploy resilient, scalable applications
