Senior Business Analyst - Community Services Review
As a Senior Business Analyst at Rotherham NHS Trust, you'll lead complex data analysis and dashboard development to uncover insights on service use, drive improvements, and support strategic decision making.
Working closely with clinical leaders, the business intelligence team, and key community stakeholders, you'll turn fragmented datasets into compelling data stories, benchmark against national standards, and deliver actionable recommendations that will directly enhance patient care.
Your expertise in data quality, reporting, and stakeholder engagement will be essential as you assist in translating findings into service redesign.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Business Analyst role is to support the Operational Lead and key stakeholders from across Rotherham Place to deepen the understanding of the needs of community services users through the creation of data products and insights, supporting the future development of Community Services.
The role will promote the use of high-quality data and insights within the Trust, enabling teams and stakeholders to deliver their work plans effectively. The post holder will provide technical expertise to support the Community Services Review team in understanding service user needs, aligning with Trust & Rotherham Place priorities.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Highly developed specialist knowledge in Information Management, including complex analysis and presentation of data from multiple sources, and report creation to support service improvements.
* Knowledge of Health and Social care roles, responsibilities, priorities, and strategic direction.
* Knowledge of working with data within databases, creating charts and visuals for customer insight.
* Knowledge of Community/Acute Electronic Patient Records (e.g., Meditech, SystmOne).
* Knowledge of statistical techniques and their application, such as Trend Analysis and SPC charts.
* Understanding of NHS Key Performance Metrics and national reporting requirements.
* Understanding of Community Services Key Performance Metrics and related policies, including CQC standards.
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in a data analyst environment.
* Experience working in an NHS or healthcare setting.
* Masters Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
* Relevant professional development (e.g., Microsoft Products, Health and Social Care Policy).
* Experience in leading people or services.
* Completion of NHS QSIR Programme or equivalent.
Experience
* Significant experience in an Information/Data management environment.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per year (pro rata).
