Overview
A major global financial institution is seeking experienced Workforce Transformation & Restructuring Specialists to join its Human Resources function. This position plays a critical role in supporting organisational change initiatives across multiple business areas and international locations.
Working as part of the Workforce Change & Restructuring team, you will help design and deliver people-focused transformation projects that enable the business to achieve strategic goals, maintain compliance with employment regulations, and operate efficiently within a complex global structure.
Role Purpose
The successful candidate will help drive and implement workforce change programmes across the organisation, ensuring that restructuring, outsourcing, insourcing, location strategy, and other people transitions are delivered effectively and compliantly.
You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, and other specialist teams to deliver large-scale and cross-border change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead or support the delivery of multiple workforce change projects across business units and regions.
* Manage the HR workstream for activities such as restructures, transfers, and site transitions.
* Conduct due diligence, prepare consultation materials, and support communication planning.
* Ensure compliance with local legal, regulatory, and policy requirements across jurisdictions.
* Oversee implementation phases, including redundancy processes, TUPE transfers, and reorganisation logistics.
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of change activity.
* Identify risks, monitor governance controls, and track project progress using robust reporting tools.
* Contribute to developing consistent, efficient, and compliant workforce change frameworks.
Experience & Skills Required
* Proven background in workforce change, restructuring, or organisational transformation projects.
* Demonstrated experience working with unions, works councils, or within highly unionised environments.
* Strong understanding of employment legislation, particularly relating to consultation, redundancy, and TUPE transfers.
* Track record of managing or leading large-scale or multi-country change initiatives.
* Excellent stakeholder and project management capabilities, with an ability to manage complexity in a matrixed organisation.
* Confident handling and analysing data; strong Excel proficiency (vlookups, pivot tables, data merging, formula creation, and data validation).
* Comfortable navigating cultural and geographic differences when delivering global programmes.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting transformation projects within a financial services or similarly regulated environment.
* Knowledge of global HR operations and workforce planning principles.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, confidential setting.
Working Model
This is a hybrid position, requiring at least one on-site day per week at either the London, Glasgow, or Radbroke office. The team operates a flexible working structure designed to balance collaboration and remote productivity.
