Job Summary
Due to the addition of a second MRI scanner at the QE site, we are seeking motivated and dynamic Radiographers with MRI experience, good communication skills, and a strong patient care focus to join our friendly team.
The ideal candidates will have extensive MRI experience, including a broad range of techniques and familiarity with NHS settings. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and to ensure high-quality radiology services.
A flexible, forward-thinking approach is essential to meet the challenges of a developing healthcare environment, including 7-day working and accreditation goals. Successful applicants will rotate between the QE site and the Community Diagnostic Hub at Metrocenter.
Applicants for regulated activity positions must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, including checks against safeguarding lists where appropriate. Previous applicants may reapply.
Main Duties
* Assist in providing a high-quality MRI service by performing clinical imaging duties.
* Report operational issues, contribute to service development, and promote good relations within the Trust.
* Handle challenging operational situations.
* Support the Radiology Services Manager in delivering excellent service.
* Train and supervise staff to optimize equipment use and meet service demands.
* Organize and prioritize workload for themselves and junior staff.
* Contribute to delivering a timely, high-quality MRI service.
* Adapt skills with technological advancements to enhance patient care.
* Act as first-line manager and supervisor for radiographers and students.
* Ensure safety in the magnetic environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.
* Participate in service development and accreditation efforts.
