We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join a maintenance team for a Facilities Managementpany who specialise in hospital and largemercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire doors and be able to pass a DBS check.
Your new role
1. Install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, including doors, window frames, staircases, and furniture.
2. Predominantly doing fire door inspections and maintenance/installation work.
3. Expertise in fitting, inspecting, and maintaining fire doors to ensurepliance with safety regulations.
4. Conduct planned preventative maintenance on hospital fabric, including external doors, access doors, windows, flooring, suspended ceilings, walls, and fireproofing
5. Inspect structures and fixtures to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements
6. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
7. Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
8. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
9. Work collaboratively with other team members and supervise apprentices and helpers as needed
What you'll need to succeed
10. Proven experience as a joiner, particularly in hospital and largemercial settings.
11. Proficiency in using hand tools and machines.
12. Full UK Driving License
13. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
14. Strong knowledge of carpentry materials and construction methods.
15. Experience with fire doors is essential.
16. Ability to pass a DBS check.
17. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification is a plus.
