Team & Business Area: Our expertise includes the Historic Environment (archaeological remains, built heritage, historic landscapes) and cultural heritage (intangible heritage such as sacred spaces, customs, language, and artistic associations). We have provided archaeological and heritage services for over 25 years, with facilities in Carlisle and Bury St Edmunds, and field teams across the UK.
The Role: We are hiring Field Archaeologists, Senior Field Archaeologists, and Principal Archaeologists (permanent and casual). Projects are ongoing in North Wales, Lincolnshire, and Yorkshire. Casual staff will be site-based.
Applicants should have at least 3 months of site experience in commercial archaeology, work well in teams, and be able to operate on various sites, including evaluations and excavations. Senior and Principal roles involve supervising teams and leading projects of varying complexity.
Requirements include practical archaeological experience, a degree in Archaeology, a valid driver’s license, and membership with CIfA at PCIfA or ACIfA levels is highly advantageous. A full driving license and access to a car are essential.
We offer excellent subsistence packages, travel allowances, single occupancy accommodation, and 1.5x pay/TOIL for unsocial hours (10pm–6am).
