Job Description
The succesful candidate will be responsible for:
- Expertise in 3D harness design, electrical schematics, and block diagrams.
- Designing and integrating electrical systems ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Generating 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
- Participating in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product introduction (NPI) process.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and OEMs.
- Ensuring the successful integration of each design element within the product
- Participating in the validation of the product using methods such as prototyping, test, etc.
- Following and contributing to the development of Best Practice guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Aircraft / Automotive interiors is required
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Alternatively, an HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification as part of an Electrical Apprenticeship.
- Experience with 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent.
- Should be familiar with the effective application of tolerances and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes and OEM installation requirements.
- Ability to read design drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of aerospace quality process and governance
