Description
Network Plus is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Technician. The ideal candidate will be skilled in CAD and design software to support the planning and development of water infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular site visits and surveys to collect information for detailed designs and as-laid drawings.
2. Produce accurate as-laid drawings using AutoCAD, adhering to client asset standards and procedures.
3. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of as-laid drawings meeting KPIs.
4. Represent the company during walk-off meetings with clients.
5. Create high-quality technical drawings, plans, and general arrangements to support the design team.
6. Develop private land notice plans following client processes and specifications.
7. Report progress to the design/commercial manager and provide weekly updates.
8. Assist with basic administrative tasks related to design projects.
Experience and Qualifications
* Engineering qualifications are desirable; a good understanding of basic engineering principles is acceptable.
* Experience in the water industry, particularly with clean/wastewater projects, is advantageous.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Experience or willingness to train in GNSS/GPS surveying equipment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage workload across multiple projects.
