Unit Bio

Unit secretaries play a vital role in the healthcare industry because they support a wide range of individuals, including patients and other medical professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. The Medical Oncology unit is a state-of-the-art 32-bed facility with acute and intermediate level care provided. The staff have worked to create a work environment that values excellence, teamwork, and peer support.
Schedule
(3) 12-hour shifts, 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m., requiring some weekends and holiday work.
Role Summary
The Nursing Unit Secretary performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
3. Experience: One year of hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
