Job summary Weare looking for an enthusiastic and service development driven ConsultantPsychiatrist to join the Devon Partnership Trusts Community Eating DisordersService (CEDS) covering Exeter and wider Devon. The service has grown steadilysince its successful pilot in 2016 and full commissioning in 2018. Itis now fully established and provides a full range of therapeutic interventionsalongside a clearly commissioned physical health monitoring service for adultswith moderate to severe eating disorders registered with GPs across Devon. Wehave a clear and structured MDT with extensive psychology, dietetic, physicalhealth and FREED staffing. The FREED early intervention model is in placeacross Devon. We provide services to adults and support for transitions fromCAMHS from age 17 onward. Wehave GP led physical health hubs in North Devon, Exeter and Torbay,supporting high risk patients and close working relationships with theHaldon Specialist Eating Disorder Unit (SEDU), the newly established EatingDisorder Outreach Team (EDOT) for assertive and intense home basedinterventions and our Acute Trusts and CAMHS teams. The MDT includes: Consultant Psychiatrist, Associate Specialist, GP lead, senior physical health clinicians, HCAs, Service Manager, Clinical Lead, psychologists, therapists, dietitians, mental health practitioners, FREED practitioners, peer support and administrators. Main duties of the job The job plan is a well resourced eight PAs six DCC and two SPA with supportive supervision and CPD arrangements On call rota one in sixteen with three percent supplement.
