As Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for M&E Ops, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that guest expectations are consistently exceeded.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Leading the day-to-day operations of the conference and banqueting department to ensure efficient and high-quality event execution
Managing event setup, breakdown, and service delivery to ensure all events meet client expectations and hotel standards
Working closely with the sales and events teams to understand event requirements and ensure seamless coordination
Supervising and training the conference and banqueting team, fostering a high-performance and service-focused culture
Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service throughout all event spaces
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and licensing laws
Managing stock, equipment, and inventory to ensure all event materials are readily available
The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, and trusting.
The core skills and experience required to succeed:
Proven experience in conference and banqueting operations or a similar hospitality management role
Strong ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on and proactive approach
Ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong guest service skills with a passion for delivering memorable experiences
Good financial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs efficiently
Knowledge of food and beverage service, event logistics, and health and safety regulations
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
