Safe Voices Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking Resource Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic and engaging individual to fill the full-time role of Shelter Advocate. The primary focus of this position is assisting with the day-to-day operations and programming of our Androscoggin-based shelters and providing advocacy and case management services to survivors who are receiving emergency shelter services. No prior advocacy or shelter experience is required to succeed in this role. This position is based in Androscoggin County and the schedule requires one weekend day.

Primary Duties:

* Providing individual advocacy and case management.
* Complete intakes, assessments, goal planning, and discharges from shelter.
* Assist with day-to-day operations of the shelter including meeting resident needs within the communal living environment, monitoring and restocking food supplies, organizing donations, assisting with internal office procedures and tasks, and monitoring the maintenance of shelter as assigned.
* Provide safety planning, support, crisis intervention, information and referrals to community resources, and facilitate support groups for survivors.
* Actively collaborates with partnering agencies, community resources, as well as Safe Voices advocacy team to provide information and referrals necessary to meet the individual’s needs.
* Maintain all administrative files, client documentations, and records according to agency standards.

Qualifications:

* Pass State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) check
* Pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) check
* Pass Department of Motor Vehicle check
* Hold valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel on occasion
* Prior MaineCare billing experience or a degree in social services field preferred, but not required
* Experience in crisis and/or advocacy services
* Pay starts at $23.25 and will increase based on experience
* Health, dental, vision, life, and short & long-term disability insurance are 100% covered at no cost to employees. Accident insurance available at low cost.
* Employer-sponsored health savings account for qualifying plans, with $1,500 deposit from employer. For non-HSA plans, employer pays $1,500 toward deductible.

Safe Voices Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking Resource Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic and engaging individual to fill the full-time role of Housing Navigation Coordinator. The primary focus of this position is to provide housing stability services aimed to overcome barriers to obtaining and maintaining housing to survivors of domestic abuse and violence throughout Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin County, while coordinating all services provided in the program. No prior advocacy or housing experience is required to succeed in this role. This position is based in Androscoggin County but requires regular travel to Franklin County.

* Provide support to survivors in shelter with finding and obtaining stable housing, and provide support to survivors once they move out of shelter with maintaining housing.
* Collaborate with partnering agencies, community resources, and landlords to provide information and referrals to meet the needs of survivors.
* Maintain all administrative files, client documentations, and records according to agency standards.

Qualifications:

* Pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) check
* Pass Department of Motor Vehicle check
* Hold valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel on occasion
* Experience in crisis and/or advocacy services
* Pay starts at $26.25 and will increase based on experience
* Health, dental, vision, life, and short & long-term disability insurance are 100% covered at no cost to employees. Accident insurance available at low cost.

Safe Voices Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking Resource Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic and engaging individual to fill the part-time role of Domestic Violence Intervention Program (CDVIP) Facilitator. CDVIP is an educational program for men who have been convicted of domestic violence related crimes with the primary purpose to increase the safety of women and children by engaging participants to think critically about their choices and process of change. Classes take place in weekly sessions of up to 17 participants and must be co-facilitated by one male and one female facilitator. At this time, we are hiring for a female facilitator. There is flexibility in the schedule, but must be able to teach classes on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. This position is based in Androscoggin County, but may require occasional travel to Oxford and Franklin County.

This position is based in Androscoggin County, with time spent engaging audiences across Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin County.

The Prevention Educator is responsible for conducting training, presentations and public awareness campaigns across the tri-county area, as well as representing the agency in community meetings and events. This includes conducting prevention programming and advocacy for youth, including presentations, educational groups, and one on one support in both school settings and the community. Additionally, they will support Safe Voices efforts to strengthen the relationships between Safe Voices and a variety of stakeholders across the agency service area.

o Coordinate tabling opportunities and staff the Safe Voices table at community events
o Plan and carry out awareness campaigns for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, Human Trafficking Awareness month, and other relevant campaigns
o Develop content for Safe Voices Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter account on an ongoing basis
o Provide coverage on 24-hr Helpline as scheduled and requested

Qualifications:

o Pass State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) check
o Pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) check
o Pass Department of Motor Vehicle check
o Hold valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel on occasion
o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience
o Experience and proficiency in presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva, and Menti
o Effective facilitation and audience engagement techniques.
o Experience in crisis and/or advocacy services and an understanding of the unique needs and challenges specific to serving youth audiences
o Pay starts at $23.25 and will increase based on experience
