THE EMPLOYER IS: AGE NI We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the welcoming face of the shop, helping customers and ensuring they have a positive experience. You will assist with receiving, sorting and pricing donations, and help create attractive displays that maintain our high standards of presentation. The position also involves processing payments accurately and supporting the recording of Gift Aid donations. You’ll help keep the store clean, organised and inviting, while carrying out additional tasks as required by the Shop Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and contributing to a well-run, community-focused shop.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers and assist them where necessary.
* Accept, sort, price, store and display merchandise/donations.
* Ensure a high standard of presentation, display and pricing.
* Be responsible for processing payments and ensuring Gift Aid donations are recorded accurately.
* Ensure the store is kept clean and tidy.
* Attend appropriate training, as required.
* Any other duties that may be required by the Shop Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Experience of cash handling.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Desirable Skills
* It is desirable that the post-holder has experience within the retail sector.
