Salary: £45,841 - £48,036 per annum (inclusive of 15% market supplement)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Wiltshire Council in a newly created role reporting directly to the Head of Legal Services. Positioned at the heart of decision-making, you will play a key role in supporting the Monitoring Officer and Deputy Monitoring Officer on governance, democracy, and public law matters.
Ideally suited to a newly qualified solicitor, or an experienced solicitor seeking a move into a new specialism, this role offers the chance to develop expertise in Local Authority governance within a supportive and forward-thinking legal team.
Working closely with officers, elected members, and legal colleagues, you will contribute to robust governance arrangements, high-quality decision-making, and the Councils compliance with its statutory obligations. You will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver practical legal solutions while maintaining the highest professional and regulatory standards.
