We are keen to recruit an experienced acute practitioner who canassess and treat patients requiring urgent same day care. The post holder willalso have responsibility for appropriate follow-up with patients andresponsibility for results and referrals they generate in the course of theirconsultations.
We require an experienced independent prescribing practitioneri.e. Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner.
The role is for between 15-30 hours with a degree of flexibility however we have bsuiness needs for sessions on a Thursday and Friday.
Main duties of the job
Reviewing patients with urgent on the day problems providingcomplete care including ordering tests, referrals and prescribing medication asrequired. The clinician will also have routine availability to providecontinuity of care and follow-up relevant patients and will be responsible forthe administration they generate i.e. results.

Job responsibilities
Reviewing patients that have been appropriately triaged by a GP into a same day, soon or routine appointment.
Assessing and diagnosing.
Requesting of appropriate tests and investigations and referring as per local guidelines.
Reviewing results and feedback to patients with appropriate follow-up as required.

Qualifications
* Advanced Clinical Practitioner i.e. paramedic
* Advanced Nurse Practitioner
* Independent prescriber
* Post qualification experience in general practice
* Experience of SystmOne clinical software
