As the firm continues to expand, they are seeking a Trainee Costs Lawyer to join their expert team, focusing on Legal Aid Costs Recovery.
The client are looking for a detail-oriented professional to assist in preparing and submitting cost claims to the Legal Aid Agency. The role involves working across various departments, including Care, Family, Criminal, and Court of Protection, ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims.
Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing cost-related legal documents and providing guidance to solicitors on recoverable costs. Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of legal aid billing processes are essential
The Ideal Candidate:
* Prior experience working in a costs team, but not necessary
* Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise, and manage a diverse caseload
* Effective both independently and in a team environment
* Strong legal acumen with attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
