The Role
To develop and deliver partnering strategies to unlock the potential of the business by enabling our Superdry family to be at their best. Leading the people approach for our European territories (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands & Spain), with a key focus on employee relations including works councils.
The role requires an individual ready to face into a challenge. Gritty, confident in decision making and adaptable with strong communication skills. The ability to have a strong personal impact, think bigger picture and make sense of complex issues is essential whilst building strong stakeholder relationships.
You Will
1. Work to execute the people element of the turnaround plan. Working closely with senior stakeholders to plan, implement and support the SLG members to deliver change successfully.
2. Work to commercially understand your customer area functionalities, strategic deliverables and key challenges.
3. Develop a strong relationship with our Works Councils, consulting with them on employment matters
4. Utilise your expert knowledge to support compliance with employment law and balanced, commercial employee relations decision making across the European employing territories
5. Drive your own work agenda, working to translate business area priorities into clear people goals in line with the overall People Plan and wider People Strategy.
6. Seize projects as learning opportunities to lead and project manage people activity with an end goal of high performance / high quality delivery.
7. Work successfully partnering up to SLG members (and Exec members where necessary) and take ownership of these key stakeholder business relationships.
8. Facilitate conversations with Managers to support the development of functional goals and priorities aligned to the business mission.
9. Help Managers make decisions which are commercially focused but pragmatic.
10. Have strong coaching capability; ensure managers think for themselves.
11. Support the development and embedding of the Superdry Talent Framework alongside the new Company behaviours.
12. Collaborate with the wider Resourcing and Talent Team on people initiatives as outlined in the People Plan.
13. Support the delivery of training aligned to the People goals and business mission.
14. Collaborate with the People Operations team to add value to the right conditions for success with an outcome for group functions of high quality processes to support our European employee lifecycle, credible data and strong communication.
15. Keep abreast of changes in the law and how they impact and influence policies and procedures.

You Are
17. Fluent in at least one of the following languages: German, French or Dutch
18. Experienced in HR within European territories (Ideally covering Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands or Spain)
19. Committed to your ongoing HR professional development, actively seeking both internal and external development.
20. Ideally holding or currently undertaking a CIPD L5+ or equivalent qualification, although this is not essential.
21. Able to champion HR initiatives with your customer groups and highlight risks and opportunities.
22. Able to demonstrate influencing skills and challenge your key stakeholders.
23. Keep abreast of legal changes and how these affect policies and procedures.
24. Pick up the business as usual, answering queries and questions as arise from your customer groups.
25. Able to work independently but ensuring you are keeping your line manager involved and informed about key decisions and impacts.
