Commercial Sales Manager – Truck & Van Dealer (Preston)
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Hours: Full-time, approx. 40-45 hours per week; typically Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or evening work for customer events or targets.
Salary & Benefits for this Commercial Sales Manager role:
1. Basic salary in the region of £40,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience, brand, and dealer size
2. Uncapped commission / bonus structure could push total earnings (OTE) to £70,000 – £90,000+.
3. Additional benefits may include company car or car allowance, pension scheme, manufacturer training, and performance incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Lead and manage the commercial sales team across trucks and vans, ensuring performance and profitability.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers, local businesses, and manufacturers.
6. Develop and implement sales strategies, forecasting, and growth plans.
7. Drive new, used, and fleet sales, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and brand standards.
8. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a strong market position.
9. Oversee vehicle preparation, documentation, warranties, and customer handovers.
What We’re Looking For?
10. Experienced Commercial Sales Manager within the truck and van sector.
11. Proven track record of delivering strong sales results and team leadership.
12. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
13. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse and act on performance data.
14. A Full UK Driving Licence
