Receptionist/Site Assistant - Fixed Term Contract

We are currently looking for a temporary Site Assistant / Receptionist to join our friendly team at Dunbar Cement Plant to cover a period of maternity leave. This role is site based 5 days per week, Monday to Friday on a 37 hour week, and is a maternity cover fixed term contract.

Role Responsibility

In the role of Site Assistant / Receptionist, you will be responsible for:

* Being the first point of contact for the site at Dunbar; this will include welcoming visitors and conducting basic checks
* Ensuring induction for all visitors and compliance with site security procedures
* General office administration and support for site
* Supporting with administration of projects and initiatives
* Organising and supporting the provision of training
* Providing ad hoc support to the wider site as required
* Contributing to and supporting the health and safety culture onsite, including being an ambassador
* Maintenance of records, long-service awards, organising and supporting health surveillance on site
* Handling and processing of purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner


The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Site Assistant / Receptionist will have experience in a similar role as well as experience of:

* Excellent IT skills (MS Office)
* General administration experience
* Knowledge of a fast-moving working environment
* Working independently
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Organisational and prioritisation skills with attention to detail
* Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
