Pastoral Leader – Start date: After October Half-Term. Contract: Temporary to Permanent.
Location: Secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Pastoral Leader to join our caring and committed team in a vibrant secondary school community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference to their lives.
Responsibilities
* Leading on the pastoral care of a year group, providing guidance, support, and encouragement.
* Building strong, professional relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and external agencies.
* Supporting the implementation of behaviour and safeguarding policies to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
* Monitoring attendance and wellbeing, intervening where necessary to remove barriers to learning.
* Contributing to the wider life of the school and promoting its values within the community.
Qualifications and attributes
We are seeking someone with excellent communication skills, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Experience in a pastoral, behavioural, or safeguarding role is desirable, though training and support will be provided for the right candidate with the passion and drive to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
