The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and student focused Curriculum Leader - Construction to join our Construction & Motor Vehicle team, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Within the role, you\'ll enjoy autonomy but also be supported in shaping the curriculum and leading your team. The role will be primarily based at our Accrington & Rossendale College campus, however travel across sites may be required.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Lead and manage a team of Lecturers, delivering Construction-related programmes (e.g. Brickwork, Carpentry, Electrical Installation and Painting & Decorating)
* Lead on the internal verification and quality processes
* Support curriculum planning, development, and delivery to meet awarding body requirements and industry standards
* Monitor teaching, learning and assessment to ensure high quality and consistency across the department
* Track and report on student progress, retention, achievement and progression
* Maintain effective links with employers, apprenticeships and external stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with College procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the Construction curriculum
What We Are Looking For:
* Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* Degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
* Recognised teaching qualification
* Relevant Construction-related qualification at Level 3 or above
* Proven experience of teaching/ training in a Construction environment within Further Education or Industry
Experience of managing or mentoring staff
