Job Title: Bookkeeper (with Payroll) Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire Hours: Full-time – 4 office days Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 I am working with a well-known brand, who are restructuring their finance function. Based locally to St Albans, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping including processing payroll, who enjoys working independently and values a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Managing processing payroll for c.300 employees, all monthly payroll Work alongside the team to process purchase invoices Raise and send sales invoices – both recurring and intermediate Assist with reconciling bank statements Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with management reports Liaising with external accountants and HMRC when necessary Requirements: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with hands-on payroll experience Proficient in cloud-based accounting systems (Xero/Sage) Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Friendly, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision What We Offer: Salary: £30,000-£35,000 4 office days, 1 day working from home A supportive and collaborative team culture Large brand with yearly events
